PLANS to reshape the Corn Hall and King's Head Hotel in Cirencester have received the backing of the town council.
Wildmoor Properties is seeking to change part of the Corn Hall into retail units and additional accommodation for the King's Head Hotel.
The company, which recently acquired offices in Cirencester, also wants to make substantial alterations to the building's roof and floor, as well as create an internal courtyard.
Ultimately, it will be Cotswold District Council which decides the application but this week Cirencester Town Council gave it the vote of approval.
A final decision is expected when it goes before a CDC planning committee in June.
