PETROL heads gathered excitedly in Stow-on-the-Wold last weekend as the BBC Top Gear team popped into town unexpectedly.
The famous Top Gear trio, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May drove into Stow with the BBC crew to film a section of their popular motoring TV show.
The group attracted a large crowd of fans as they revved into town in a collection of eye-catching classic cars.
Show producers were not giving away any secrets about the challenge though but the trio were spotted trying to cram a coat stand and a vintage grandfather clock into the back of their cars.
They even took time out from filming to chat with their fans and sample a few of Stow’s local businesses.
