BOOKWORMS in Gloucestershire can now reserve or renew books in any of the county’s libraries with a new app.
The library app launched by Gloucestershire County Council and developed by SOLUS can be used on smartphones and tablets to search catalogues, reserve books and read eBooks online.
GCC cabinet member for libraries Cllr Dorcas Binns (Con, Nailsworth) said she was pleased libraries in the county were embracing new technology.
“You don’t need to go into a library during opening hours any more to benefit from everything the libraries have to offer,” she said.
“I hope this new app will encourage new customers to use the library and give existing users new options.”
The app can be found by searching for Gloucestershire Libraries on the app store or the Google Play Store.
