FLOOD-AFFECTED residents across Gloucestershire now have more time to apply for funding to help repair damage to their homes.
Although applications for some of the £50,000 fund were set to close tomorrow, this deadline has been extended to give people still dealing with the aftermath of the flooding more time to apply.
Applications will now remain open until the entire £50,000 made available by Gloucestershire Community Foundation (GCF) – an organisation helping disadvantaged people across the county – has been allocated.
More than £30,000 of funding has already been distributed and Gloucestershire County Council leader Cllr Mark Hawthorne (Con, Moreland) said he was pleased they were able to help so many people.
“I am very grateful to GCF for getting the payouts to people so quickly to help them replace their most essential items,” he said.
Applications forms are available by emailing clarie.waters@edf-energy.com or gail.mattocks@edf-energy.com or by calling 01452 654834 or 654836.
