DICKINSON Richard Passed away peacefully on 4th May 2022, at Hunters Care Home in Cirencester at the age of 96. A memorial service will be held at Cheltenham Crematorium on the 25th May 2022. Richard was born on the 5th February 1926 in Edgware Middlesex and lived in Stanmore, Kenilworth, West Sussex before moving to the Cotswolds the birthplace of his mother. Having been a Metropolitan Police Officer for over 25 years he moved into the commercial market starting out in the motor car industry and completing this career in a senior role in sales training for the company he loved, Jaguar Cars Ltd. This offered him the opportunity of worldwide travel taking him to many different continents. Even in retirement Richard pursued a busy life as a local councillor, Chairman of the council and events lecturer regaling his experiences and gained knowledge across many years. Married to Betty in 1944 in Harrow Middx. They had two sons Nigel and Alan, who survive their mother. Richard had 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
