PIKE Joseph "Old Joe" Looking for Joseph Pike's Mum and Dad We're looking for any documentary or living links to the ancestors/parents and/or siblings of our Great Grandfather, Joseph Pike, nearly certainly born in Malmesbury (but possibly Manchester) in 1810. He was later sentenced to death for a non-violent housebreaking in Gloucester, a sentence subsequently commuted to transportation for 14 years to the Sydney colony, Australia. But Joseph never came back and became a very successful business and pioneering historical figure in the Illawarra region of New South Wales.
