Cirencester Park 10km, road
DAVE BELL gained another great win to win his home 10k in Cirencester Park, setting a new course record time of 32.55.
In the absence of any real competition, Dave, with his usual graceful running style, led from the front throughout which makes his time on this undulating course even more impressive.
Good times were also posted by Denis Galerin (36.38) and Ian Barrett (36.52) as Cirencester secured the men’s team prize.
The first woman home was Niki Morgan (Chepstow Harriers) who finished in 41.18 just three seconds ahead of Steph Lane (Bourton Roadrunners).
After a battle all way round the course, the two ladies engaged in a sprint finish at the end.
Sarah Gunn (42.08) finished third lady and first in her age group and with the help of Caroline Crawford (49.10) and Rachel Ranger (50.13) the trio secured Cirencester Ladies' team a third place.
The club managed to free another eight runners from marshalling duties including Laura Quinn (50.37) running her first competitive 10k race.

Berlin Marathon, Germany, 26.2 miles road
CLUB coach Mark Edwards (4:14.38) ran the Berlin Marathon with a friend to raise funds for Cancer Research.
He will be reasonably pleased with his sub-four-hour chip time among the 30,000 other runners.
RESULTS 1, Kenenisa Bekele (Ethiopia) 2:03.03; 13,554 Mark Edwards (Cirencester AC) 4:14.38 (chip time 3.59.57). 26,807 finished.
Forest of Dean Autumn Half-Marathon, 13.1 miles road/trail
STEVE YATES (1:24.46) ran a good time to come in second MV40 in the hilly Forest of Dean Autumn Half.
RESULTS: 1, Kevin McMillan (Birmingham Running) 1:18.19; 9, Steve Yates 1:24.46 (second MV40). 696 finished.
Cheltenham Half-Marathon, 13.1 miles road
KATE SACKETT (1:49.59) achieved a PB and age-group first in the Cheltenham Half-Marathon and Tim Collings (2:07.36) returned to competitive running after a break of many years.
They both had to battle with traffic queues and more than 3,000 thousand runners.
RESULTS: 1, Toby Spencer (Coventry Godiva Harriers) 1:07.13; 429, Kate Sackett 1:41:59 (chip time 1:41:24 for first FV55); 1,756 Tim Collings 2:07.36 (chip time 1:58.44). 3,366. finished.
Bristol Half Marathon, 13.1 miles road
REBECCA Howells (1:52.37), another newcomer to the club, had an opportunity to take in the sights of Bristol as she ran the Bristol Half Marathon.
RESULTS: 1, James Connor (Kent AC) 1:07.54; 2,527 Rebecca Howells 1:52.37.
Parkruns
NICK WALL (25.13) was thrilled with his time and age-group position at Stonehouse and there were good runs from Dave Moss (24.54) and Barbara Thomas (26.14) at Swindon.
