WILTSHIRE CCC started their 2016 season with a two-wicket friendly victory over Frocester CC – last year's West of England Premier League champions.
The 45-over match was played at Frocester on Sunday.
Frocester batted first and scored 192-8 in their 45 overs.
Nick Trainor top-scored with 44. For Wiltshire, Andy Carroll took 3-32, Joe King 2-36, Jake Lintott 2-28 with Steve Warner bowling his nine overs for just 12 runs and taking one wicket.
Wiltshire in reply scored 193-8 with three overs remaining.
John Sore scored 32, Ashur Morrison 52 retired, Harry Hovey 21 and Andy Carroll finished the match with 35 not out off 17 balls which included four sixes.
Wiltshire's next friendly match is against Dorset at South Wilts CC, Salisbury on Saturday (April 9) starting at 11am. Wiltshire's squad includes Jake Lintott signed from Dorset in the close season.
