VINTAGE enthusiasts were transported back in time at a vintage and retro day held by Cirencester’s British Red Cross charity shop last weekend.

Shop volunteers dressed up in styles spanning the decades, from 1920s flapper dresses, to 1980s disco flares. One brave volunteer also strapped on a pair of roller-skates to distribute fliers.

Shop manager Jude Davis said: “We started planning the event in January and we’ve been overwhelmed by donations. There has been a great deal of interest from people who love vintage fashion.”

Shoppers also enjoyed vintage-style cakes and retro music, as well as having the chance to climb aboard a 60s VW camper van.
