ANYONE looking to swap their humdrum office job for something with a little more adrenaline will be interested in an opening that has just come on to the Cirencester job market.

The team at Breitling Wingwalkers is currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual, who is not put off by the thought of being strapped to the outside an aeroplane flying at 130mph, to join the Rendcomb-based acrobatic squad.

The lucky and, perhaps, mildly insane candidate will perform with the team at over 80 displays throughout the year in locations as diverse and varied as the Arabian Desert, Sydney Harbour and, of course, the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.

Danielle Hughes, one of the squad’s acrobats, said the vacancy will suit anyone that has a real zest for life and adventure.

“An enthusiastic, hard working team player is sought for this amazing opportunity,” she said.

“A background in fitness is ideal to perform against the immense wind pressures experiences when flying at high speeds, as is the ability to continue smiling at the crowd below when it starts raining.”

The specification for the part time job is quite strict, with candidates needing to be no taller than five and a half foot and weighing less than eight and a half stone.

The successful applicant will have to do more than just stand on the aeroplane, the team are renowned for performed choreographed dance routines while whizzing through the clouds.

No previous experience is necessary as the new starters will be given full training by the wingwalkers at the squad’s base in Rendcomb.

Those interested in taking to the skies should email their CV, along with a covering letter, photograph and height and weight details, to sarah@aerosuperbatics.com.
