STROUD'S motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 8pm April 16 to 6am May 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 13 to 12 lane closures for surveys.

• M5, from 6am April 27 to 6am May 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, hard shoulder closure for barrier works.

• M5, from 8pm April 29 to 6am May 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, lane closure for barrier works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 8pm May 9 to 6am May 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 13 to 14, lane closures for DFT road statistics division.

• M5, from 8pm May 13 to 6am May 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 13 to 12, lane closure for white lining.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
