A MAN from the Yate area has been sentenced after admitting he strangled a woman.
Joshua Winkworth, aged 26, of Worrells Lane, Hambrook, pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation at a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on April 11.
The court register states the incident took place on January 11, 2023.
Winkworth was jailed for eight months suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to to pay a £187 surcharge and complete up to 40 days of rehabilitation activity.
