A MAN from Yate has been sentenced after driving dangerously in the town. 

Jack Smith, aged 28, of Orchard Close, Yate, pleaded guilty to four offences at Bristol Crown Court on April 9. 

Smith was caught driving an Audi dangerously in Westerleigh Road on January 5, 2024.

He was also caught driving while disqualified, without third party insurance and had 6.5g of cannabis in his possession on the same day.

Smith was sentenced to two months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

He was also ordered to pay a £187 surcharge, complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 30 days of rehabilitation activity.
