THREE cocktail connoisseurs are excited show off their mixology skills at an annual cocktail making competition next month.

The Cotswold Cocktail King will be crowned at the Ingleside Hotel in Cirencester on World Cocktail Day, Monday, May 13.

This year's event will see 2022 champion Ryan Walters, of Ingleside Hotel and Téatro Restaurant and Bar, battle against Seventeen Black's senior mixologist James Stone and Cirencester Park Polo Club’s Bogdan Martin.

The fierce competitors will prepare one alcoholic summer drink and one mocktail for a panel of esteemed judges.

Ryan said: "This will be a strong competition.

"The challenge is to make a stunning summer drink and the best cocktail will go onto a special menu at the winner’s venue.

"We recently launched a new drinks menu at Téatro, and maybe we will have to add a few more after I win.”

Ethan Rodgers, executive chef of Cirencester Park Polo Club, added: “Bogdan is a cocktail king in the making, he has already been practicing his flaring.

"It is a bit of fun and is a chance for some of the hospitality and industry professionals to get together and showcase what we are doing."
