MEMBERS from Fairford Rugby Club their 30th anniversary on Saturday with a special event.

The event marked their club's 30-year history with their youth end of season presentations, a children's colour run, fun on a bouncy castle plus fixtures for the Vixen's and men's senior team.

Club chair Lorna Pugh said: "The day was a huge success which kicked off with an abundance of happy faces from the children of Fairford and surrounding villages and went on to see our formidable Vixen’s secure a victory against Minchinhampton Ladies, and then another successful win from our Men’s Senior Team against Wotton-Under-Edge.

"A huge thanks must go out to both of our visiting opposition teams for their input into our special day.

"We welcomed some new faces and saw many of the old faces from years gone by.

"We raised a glass to those that couldn’t make it, and shared stories and accolades from years gone by.

"Over the last 30 years, we have worked hard to live out our moto of ‘Be involved, be passionate, stand proud’, by delivering an inclusive and diverse demographic of people that have a genuine interest in having fun and working together.

"We are a small club, with a lot of heart and look forward to continue being at the very heart of our community and town for the next 30 years and beyond.

"Thank you to everyone for their support."
