A PORSCHE driver has banned from the roads and must pay a hefty fine for drink-driving in Cirencester.
Paul Wootton, aged 47, of Corinium Gate, Cirencester, admitted driving a Porsche Cayenne while more than twice the alcohol limit.
Wootton was caught driving the car in A429 Bristol Road, Cirencester having consumed 178 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood - the legal limit being 80 - on Tuesday, August 8.
He pleaded guilty to the offence at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, February 7.
Wootton must pay a £625 fine, a £250 victim surcharge plus £85 in costs - a total of £960.
He also has been banned from the roads for 20 months.
This could be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a drink-driving course by March 19 in 2025.
