All lanes have reopened following a lorry fire on the A419 Cirencester to Swindon road this morning.

The vehicle fire is believed to have happened on the busy main road on the northbound carriageway just prior to the junction at Ashton Keynes.

Police and fire crews attended the scene at just after 6am this morning, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Following the fire a single lane closure remained in place while the vehicle was recovered.

All lane closures have now been removed and journey times have returned to normal.
