A NEWLY appointed committee, who will manage the Dolphins Hall, will be pushing along with the refurbishment of the hall after plans to rebuild the hall were abandoned last year.
New appointments were made to the Dolphins Recreation Centre Trust after officers were voted in unanimously at their annual general meeting on April 28.
Maggie Heaven was reappointed chairman of the trust, having held the position since November last year.
Colin Pierce was voted vice chairman, taking over from Patricia Burrell, and Sue Townsend was appointed treasurer, taking over from David Lugard Brain.
The committee also received two new trustees: Paul Jones and Lesley Brain.
New chairman Maggie said: "I am delighted to say that the Dolphins Hall is pushing along with the restructure and refurbishment due to lack of funds and sustainability with a new build.
"The new committee is looking to move forward with the improvements of the dolphin hall for the sake of the community."
She added that the committee would be looking to set up a marketing team, a housekeeping team, a fundraising team and a new project team who will oversee the redevelopment of the existing hall.
Details of the refurbishments will be decided in the trust's next meeting.
