A GROUP of walkers will be doing a marathon around London under moonlight – in their bras.
The ‘Blisters Sisters’ from the Cotswolds are taking part in the unique charity event MoonWalk London on Saturday, May 14.
Starting in Clapham Common, the event sees participants walk a full marathon through the night in specially decorated bras, raising money and awareness for breast cancer charity Walk The Walk.
The team of eight walkers were roped into the challenge by Alex Hodgson, 23.
She said: “In a moment of madness, we decided to swap our glass of prosecco for our walking shoes and walk 26.2 miles through the streets of London in a bra.
“I wanted to do something quite challenging especially after my mum did the marathon.
“We are hoping to avoid blisters, maybe lose a few pounds, have a great time and most importantly raise money for Walk the Walk.”
The group have already raised £440 for the cancer charity that Alex is proud to be supporting.
“Many of us know someone who has been affected by cancer,” continued Alex.
“We want to raise as much money as we can to help.”
