  • CAFE at the village hall, Thursday, April 14 12noon-2pm.  Come and try the homemade soups and bread, delicious homebaked cakes, fresh coffee and speciality teas. Chat with old friends and make new ones. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The Post Office will be in operation with the usual facilities and stationery for sale.
  • BOUNDARY walk on Sunday, May 8 will start at 10.30am from Kempsford Church. Join us as we walk the bounds of the parish of Kempsford, Whelford, Dunfield and Dudgrove. Everyone welcome.
  • FOOTBALL training and games begin on the school field every Wednesday from April 13, 6pm to 7.30pm. Open to all boys and girls from 6-13 year olds. There will be a separate activity for those who do not wish to play football. Refreshments provided.
  • LIVE music at Whelford Social Club on Saturday, April 16. Opening hours are 8pm-12am. This is a small friendly club and welcomes new members and guests.
  • FIXTURE for Kempsford Cricket club on Sunday, April 17 at 1.30pm is a home game against Barnsley Beeches.
  • VOLUNTEER needed to help distribute the monthly parish newsletter to the new houses at Hazel View, Kempsford (between Top Road and the High Street). Please contact clerk@kempsfordparishcouncil.net if you can help.
  • WHELFORD Pools Nature Reserve has a new interpretation board which provides valuable information to visitors on the unique habitats as part of the Cotswold Water Park environment, together with enjoyable walks within the area. It was funded through the Cotswold Water Park Community and Environmental Improvements Fund and produced by Kempsford parish council in partnership with the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.
