A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A417 Gloucester Road in Cirencester this morning.
The female cyclist, who is believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a car outside the Mitsubishi garage at around 10.30am.
Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after and found she had suffered a head injury and called for assistance from the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service, which landed in Stratton Meadows at 10.50am and took her to Great Western Hospital, Swindon.
Her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was closed for around half and hour following the crash.
