Cotswold entrepreneur wins award
Everyclick.com founder Polly Gowers

A COTSWOLD entreprenuer has won a national award for her unique web search engine that gives money back to charity.

Polly Gowers, who founded Everyclick.com in 2005, beat off stiff competition from long-established companies to scoop the Blackberry Women in Technology award at the Grosvenor Hotel.

Everyclick.com, based in Moreton-in-Marsh, raises money for any of the UK's 167,000 charities every time a search is made.

The judges praised Polly's use of technology to build a social enterprise and a 'search engine for good' that has established itself in a highly competitive market.

They commended her entrepreneurship and said she is an inspiration to all women working in the field of technology.

Polly said: "I am thrilled to receive this award. It is a testament to the efforts that my team has made to ensure that the public can incorporate fundraising in to their daily lives and generate thousands of pounds for charity simply through their clicks."

She added: "If we can inspire just 10 percent of all UK searches to be performed on Everyclick.com, we can raise £76 million for charity."

Everyclick.com is now the eighth largest search engine and has enabled users to raise £435,000 through internet searches alone. All revenue is sourced from advertising.
